Chip Walker, a member of the Sandy Creek High School varsity football coaching staff, and former footbll standout at Tusculum College, will be inducted into the Tusculum College Sports Hall of Fame tomorrow.

Walker was the team's quarterback from 1991-94, during the first four years of the sport's reinstatement for the first time in 40 years. He was a two time All Mid South Conference and 1993 NAIA All-District selection.

He holds the school records for single game completion percentage (1.00, 5-5 vs. Sue Bennett College in 1994), most career rushing yards for a quarterback with 1,223, which is seventh all time.

He succeeded off the field as well. Walker was named to the Mid-South Conference All-Academic team all four years, served as senior class president during the 1994-95 school year and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He earned his master's degree from Converse College in 1998.

Walker is the son of Sandy Creek Patriots head coach Rodney Walker. He is married to the former Shelly Baskins and has two sons, Trey and Bryant.
