Cop in crash has history of speeding

One of the policemen involved in last week's deadly high speed chase in Peachtree City has a history of exceeding the speed limit.

New elementary schools ready for first day

The two new elementary schools Sara Harp Minter Elementary on Ga. Hwy 85 South in Fayetteville, and Cleveland Elementary at 190 Lester Rd. in Fayetteville will open their doors to students for their inaugural school year Monday morning. Despite some circulating rumors, both facilities will be ready to go.

I always wondered why Lewis Grizzard wrote about his heart problems and his surgeries. Now, I suspect he felt like he owed it to us. Like we were part of his world. We were the folks with whom he laid it all out. Whether we agreed with him or not, he made us think. He made us feel. He never stopped being himself for us.
