Team USA scores in London

They were four girls from Fayette County going to London, England, with the Team USA cheerleading team to compete against teams from around the world. Now, they are back in the states and they know they are number one.

Dale Murphy to speak at LDS Church next weekend

Former National League All Star Dale Murphy will be returning to the scene of his greatest baseball triumphs on Saturday, Aug. 17 for a special "Fireside" talk in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' Stake Center in Lilburn, Ga.

Local student attends leadership conference

Beau Kelsch, a 14-year-old freshman at McIntosh High School, recently attended the week-long American Red Cross Leadership Development Conference at Emory University. According to event organizer Kristi Couch, the annual conference is designed to provide "focused, thought-provoking, skill-building experiences in leadership and service."
