New dance school opens The Peachtree City School of Dance, located in the Governor's Walk Shopping Center, 1988 Ga. Hwy. 54 West in Fayetteville, will open for classes Monday, Aug. 19. According to director Kathleen Senger, this studio is designed to provide professional dance training and performance opportunites in an atmosphere that nurtures the individual. Classes in ballet, pointe, tap, creative dance for tots and Moms and jazz will be offered for students in beginner through professional levels. Senger holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in dance from the University of Cincinatti College-Conservatory of Music. She has studied with Melissa Hayden of the New York City Ballet and James Truitte of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company. She performed professionally with the Toledo Ballet, is a professional choreographer, and has been artistic director of community dance companies. Senger was adjunct professor of dance at Rockford College and Cottey College and has 30 years of teaching experience. The state-of-the-art facility with a fully sprung, marley dance floor is ready to open in August. Class size is limited to provide individualized instruction.
