Sights and sounds from Uganda

Here I am preaching from the pulpit of All Saint's Church in the heart of Uganda's capital city of Kampala and whom do I see? Members from Fayetteville's New Hope Baptist Church sitting in the congregation. Afterwards, I greet Steve and Ann Foster along with Judy Nesbitt. They are here in Uganda to participate in an African evangelistic outreach.

Peachtree City's Stokes heads for mission in Mexico

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently called Peachtree City's Mark Stokes for a two-year mission to Veracruz, Mexico. Stokes will report to the language-training center in Provo, Utah on Aug. 14, for a two-month Spanish course.

McFolks plan Amish tour of Pennsylvania Sept. 30-Oct. 5

The McFolks group at McDonough Road Baptist Church (for senior adults) will take a six-day trip to Pennsylvania to visit the Amish Community in September. Plans are to leave Sept. 30 and return Oct. 5.

His House Church offers gospel groups each Friday

His House Community Church offers prayer, praise and singing gospel groups each Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m.

PTC UMC youth get ready for Mad Science camps

Peachtree City United Methodist Church is getting ready to explore the earth, codes, machines, chemistry, animals, and photography at Mad Science Summer Camps.
