'scared to death' when she cancelled divorce action
When
Beverley Watson signed court papers withdrawing her legal request to
divorce her husband Jim on Jan. 18, 1995, she appeared "Frightened,
scared to death, shaking," her divorce attorney testified in court
Friday.

Watson menaced wife with guns, physical abuse
Jim Watson twice
pulled guns on his wife Beverley at a New Year's Eve party in the late
1980s and once pulled her out of her mother's house by her neck according
to witnesses testifying in his murder trial which began last week.

One of Beverley
Watson's best friends testified Thursday that her friend had developed
"a new resolve" to leave her husband in the weeks before she
disappeared.

Manchester and she was reared in Fayetteville. They met at the Baptist
Student Union at Georgia State and were both headed in the same direction,

leader charged with eight counts of child molestation
Late Wednesday night,
the Fayette County Sheriff's Department arrested 38-year-old Edward
Wayne Ferguson of 122 Shiloh Drive and charged him with eight counts
of child molestation.
