Explorer leader charged with eight counts of child molestation Late Wednesday night, the Fayette County Sheriff's Department arrested 38-year-old Edward Wayne Ferguson of 122 Shiloh Drive and charged him with eight counts of child molestation. Maj. Bruce Jordan of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department said one of the victims told the department about the crime, and the department executed a search warrant at Ferguson's home. The video they found in Ferguson's home shocked the battle-toughened Jordan. "It's the most graphic thing I've ever seen. It shows him having sex with these boys," Jordan said. Ferguson was immediately arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. Ferguson has been affiliated with the Peachtree City Fire Department's Explorer post since the 1980s, Jordan said. A bond hearing was held early Friday and Judge Bob Ruppenthal ordered Ferguson held at the jail with no bail. Jordan is encouraging all parents who may have had children in the Explorer post to talk to their children to see if any more cases have occurred.
