Older drivers wish for public transportation

For Sally [Satterthwaite], thank you for speaking my mind at the commissioners' meeting [in support of GRTA bus service]. I had thought I was the only one in Fayette County who was hoping for public transportation.

As we get older it becomes really scary to drive downtown at night. We don't worry about crime. It's the expressway that strikes fear into our hearts.

Why are the people in this area afraid of public transportation? I'm thankful for the opportunities available in this area for cultural activities.
