F'ville roads are shamefully littered; let's all do better Every time I drive down just about any road in Fayetteville or Fayette County, I am disgusted by the amount of garbage that is on our roads. The intersections are loaded with cigarette butts, and the sides of roads are loaded with cans, bottles, cups, fast-food wrappers, etc. Ashtrays are still standard equipment on automobiles, yet people don't have enough respect for our fine city to make use of them. People that are too darn lazy to dispose of their garbage in their own garbage cans are making a mess of Fayetteville. The state government should raise fine for littering, and our local police should do a better job of enforcing it. Please, fellow Fayetteville citizens, help keep our fine city clean by keeping litter off of our roads. Matthew Washburn Fayetteville
