March for Jesus May 4 to feature fair, concert

In conjunction with the National Day of Prayer, which will be held May 2, there will be the annual Celebrate Jesus Day parade and fair on Saturday, May 4, at Heritage Park in Fayetteville.

This is an annual event that is held nationwide to celebrate Jesus. This year's annual event will be somewhat different than the past four years in that it will have a fair and will be a time for the churches of Fayette County to reach out to all the citizens of our community.

There will be music, fun and activities for young and old alike, with an opportunity for the citizens of Fayette County to get acquainted with the different churches in the area.

The annual event will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade leaving Fayette County High School and proceeding to Heritage Park by way of Hood Avenue, Ga. Highway 85 South and past the Courthouse to where the fun-filled fair awaits.

This event is very much supported by Peachtree City's Mayor Steve Brown and has been proclaimed Celebrate Jesus Day throughout the city of Fayetteville by Mayor Kenneth Steele.

Many local businesses are contributing food, drinks, coupons and gifts to show support for the day. More participants are welcome to join in with tables or booths offering your service to the community or to help out with the games, serving, etc.

All the citizens of Fayette County are invited to come out and be a part of this fun-filled day. Everything will be free moonwalk, giant slide, radar speed pitch, face painting, hot dogs, cotton candy, sno-cones, drinks, games, music and more. A youth concert is planned for the finale of the day. Everyone is encouraged to bring a folding chair to relax and soak in the joy.

Come join the parade and celebrate Jesus! Some will march on foot while others ride in cars, trucks, etc. Bring your baby stroller or bring your golf cart. It will be a fun-filled time for all to show their love and support for Jesus.
