Sports Notables William Moore, point guard for Atlanta Metropolitan Junior College, was recently named MVP by the GJCAA.He also was named to the all conference first team. Moore is a former player for Fayette County High School. Doug Seigle, a 1991 Fayette County High School graduate and a 1995 graduate of Viterbo University, was inducted in the Viterbo Athletic wall of Fame. The ceremony was at Viterbo University LaCrosse, Wisc. Seigle was recognized for his outstanding achievement while a member and captain of the Viterbo men's soccer team from 1991-1995. The team won two conference and three district championships, while being constantly ranked in the NAIA national polls. As a senior, Seigle was a unanimous selection to play for the East in the 1995 Umbro Senior Soccer Bowl. He was a three time All American and holds several school records as an outstanding goal keeper. he holds school records for most career wins, most career shutouts and most wins and shutouts in a season. With a career record of 49 wins, 13 losses and seven ties and 28 shutouts, Seigle is currently fourth on the all time goals against average at Viterbo. He was an all-state goalkeeper for Russell Fuller's Fayette County High School soccer team that finished State runner-ups in 1991. Seigle has continued his career in soccer by playing professional soccer and most recently coaching at the collegiate level.
