PTC First Baptist to host Kay DeKalb Smith

Kay DeKalb Smith, known as the "Carol Burnett" of Christian entertainment, will be the speaker Tuesday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the "Hats off to Women" dinner sponsored by the women's ministries at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City, 208 Willowbend Rd. Tickets are $11 and must be purchased in advance. Prizes will be awarded for the funniest, most elegant and most creative hats. Due to limited space, no tickets will be sold at the door. Crossroads Singles schedules concert

All singles in the area are invited to join Crossroads Singles at Crossroads Baptist Church for a live concert with Jeremy and Anthony Williams, Friday, March 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m., in room 208. Those attending are asked to bring a snack to share. There is a $2 cover charge. Free childcare is provided. Crossroads Church is on Ga. Nativity Episcopal plans 'Lenten quiet day'

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity on Antioch Rd. will have a "Lenten quiet day," a series of meditations and silence,Saturday, March 16, beginning with registration at 9 a.m. and concluding at 3 p.m. The event is for adults and those of high school age. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. Morning sessions begin at 9:25, 10, 10:30, 11, and 11:30 a.m. Afternoon sessions begin at 12:45, 1:30, 2, 2:30 and 3 p.m. Childcare will be provided from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. only. FUMC offers Lenten luncheons each Wednesday

The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church offers Lenten luncheons at noon each Wednesday during Lent. Each luncheon features a light meal and a guest speaker. The cost is $2. For more information, call the church office, 440-461-4313.

Ladies' spring dinner will feature Passover meal

The ladies at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a Passover Supper for their spring ladies' dinner Thursday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available through the church office. For more information, call the church, 770-461-8378.

Inman will have Passover Seder meal

Reservations are due by Sunday, March 24, for the Maundy Thursday Passover Seder meal at Inman United Methodist Church. The event is planned for Thursday, March 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $4 per person. Children age six and up may attend. CDM Ministries plans wedding gown sale

Christ Discipleship Ministries in Tyrone will have a wedding gown sale Saturday, March 16, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The gowns were donated by a local bridal shop which went out of business. Fayetteville Christian to present "Amazing Love"

Members of the Fayetteville Christian Church's adult choir, band and drama ministries will present "Amazing Love," an Easter musical/drama, Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m., and Sunday, March 24, at 10:30 a.m. The production is described as being the Easter story as told through the eyes of Mary Magdalene.
