Baseball school comes to Tyrone The Tyrone Youth Baseball Association will host the nationally recognized Doyle Baseball School on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23 and 24. America's number on baseball school will instruct baseball and softball players between the ages of 6 and 16 in hitting, throwing and fielding during the two day school. The school will last from 12:30-5:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday in Shamrock Park on Senoia Road in Tyrone. Doyle Baseball is in its 22nd year of operation. They conduct satellite schools all over North America and more than 500,000 players have benfitted from the expert instruction. Thousands of players have gone on to collegaite careers as well as numerous players into professional baseball. Some major leaguers who graduated from the program are Walt Weiss, Charles Johnson, Steve Krsay, Tino Martinez Derek Bell and Jim Poole, among many others. Tuitin for the Doyle baseball School is $60 per plaeyr before Feb. 15 and $80 per player after Feb. 15.
