Peachtree City girls softball will have registration for the spring 2002 season Saturdays, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Braelinn Kroger. The league is open to girls 5-18. For ages 6 and under, the fee is $70; for all others it's $80. The second girl from one family gets in for $60 and all others in the family register for $50. Phone 770-487-0526.

The Fairburn Baseball Association will have registration at Duncan Park from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Jan. 26 for ages 3-14. New coaches are welcome and late registrations are accepted after Jan. 26.

The Tyrone Youth Baseball Association will have registration for spring baseball Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1-4 p.m. at Shamrock Park. Baseball is open to players ages 4-14. Softball registration will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 26, Feb. 2 and Feb. 9 and Sundays, Jan. 27, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10. Brooks Area Little League will offer registration Saturdays, Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 for spring baseball to players ages 5-18 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Jarrett Young Field House in Brooks Area Park. Fayette County Baseball Association will have spring registration Saturdays, Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 and 9 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Recreation Center on Redwine Road. The fee for pre-t-ball is $30, t-ball and 7/8 is $110, 9/10 and 11/12 is $120, 13/14 is $135 and 15/16 is $150. Parents are asked to bring a copy of the player's birth certificate and a utility bill for proof of residence. No out of county residents allowed. The Peachtree City Georgia Baseball Association is holding open tryouts for its travel teams. This is a highly competitive baseball association and placement is not guaranteed. Ages 8-14 are eligible. The 12th Annual Cycle World International Motorcycle Show will take place Jan. 25-27 at the Cobb Galleria. Tickets are $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-11 and free for children under the age of 6. Visit www.motorcycleshows.com.

The Peachtree City Flash youth track team will offer registration through Jan. 30 at the Kedron Field House from 9 .am.-10 p.m. or at the Peachtree City Recreation Department from 9 .am.-5 p.m. The kickoff meeting will be at Booth Middle School at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 30. The Peachtree City Recreation Department will have an organizational meeting to set the 2002 Spring/Early Summer Adult softball program. The meeting will take place at the Kedron Fieldhouse at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 5. Leagues will be offered in Co-ed, Men's Church, Men's 40 and over, Men's Industrial, Men's Open and Women's. The 14th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament will take place at noon on Wednesday, Apr. 17 at Whitewater Country Club. Lunch and registration starts at 11 a.m. and dinner and awards follow the completion of the round. The format will be a Ft. Lauderdale/4 person team and the entry fee is $105 per player. Providence United Methodist Church located at 592 Bernard Road in Fayetteville is offering its second annual Indoor Soccer League. This recreational program is open to all children ages U6 -U9. There is a 30 minute practice and a 30 minute match each Saturday in January and February 2002. Registration runs through December. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville will offer indoor speed training Wednesdays in January and February. Ages 7-9 will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m., ages 10-12 will meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. and ages 13-15 will meet 7:30-8:30 p.m. Fee is $15 per session or $60 for the series. The Fayette County Wrestling Club, open to children Grades 1 through 8, practices two nights a week in the old Fayette County High School gym. The fee for the season is $80, which goes towards the wrestling card, a t-shirt and the FCHS wrestling team. The club finished second in the state last year. System U Speed is now recruiting people interested in the highly competitive sport of inline speed skating. The team is currently practicing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4:30 to 6:30 at the Newnan Skate Palace.
