Islam is not a religion of peace: Read the Quran I never expected my recent comments to raise such a ruckus. I am grateful, in this day of political correctness, to The Citizen for having the courage to print my thoughts. From some of the responses, I can only surmise that a lot of folks didn't read everything I said. So, to reiterate, I spent three years in the heart of Islam. I have read a large portion of the Quran, English translation, and I know what I speak of. Islam, in it's true form IS NOT a religion of peace. Mohammed did indeed spread the message of convert or die. He also admonished his followers to let enmity exist between the "true Believers" and Christians and Jews forever. I was not allowed to worship my Savior for three years, under pain of imprisonment. In fact, dear readers, if you research the Internet, you will find that Saudi Arabia has 17 Christians in prison that were arrested for holding church services in their homes. I will never change my stand. Jesus is indeed the Prince of Peace, once you have accepted Him as your Savior, but He would be the first to condemn any mosque as a gathering of people who are worshiping a false prophet. Be as liberal as you want and as politically correct as you please, but do not be deceived. All of us, including me, will someday draw our last breath and stand before our God and His son. Woe be unto those who do not have Jesus standing with them. My suggestion to the Muslims is to accept Jesus before it is too late. For all of you out there accusing me of hate, what will you say to God when this mosque has turned even one person away from Christ and damned for eternity? As to the "pastor" who was so happy about having the Iftar meal with them and wishing that I could have been there to see how Christlike they were, answer me this. How can a group of people and a religion that preaches that Jesus was not the Son of God and that He did not rise from the dead be anything approaching Christlike? The only person, or spirit, if you will, that I know of, that is opposed to Jesus, is Satan and his followers. So, in closing, Jesus did not turn His back on the Muslims, or our brothers, the Jews, or any other religious group. He died for all of the people of the world and it is the world who has turned their backs on Him. If any of you have any doubts as to what I am saying, please go buy you a English translation of the Quran and read it for yourself. To all of my fellow Christians, I close with this: May the Peace of Our Lord and Savior be with you and yours. Chuck E. Bryant Fayetteville
