FCFT gives the back story of Santa Claus By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
Everyone knows about Santa Claus. He travels around the world on Christmas Eve with his sleigh, flying reindeer and his magical bag of toys. But how did Kris Kringle get the best job in the world? L.Frank Baum tried to answer that question with the story "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" which Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre, Inc. will perform tomorrow through Sunday at McIntosh High School's Black Box Theater. The play, which lasts an hour, is a magical-music filled production for the whole family. Some of the more memorable characters include Awgwa Clan, the magical Wood fairy that raised Claus, and Wisk, peter, Holly and Kilter, the elves that magically appeared in Santa's toy bag. There are also a host of colorful village children and adults, making the story of Santa Claus come alive. Audience members will have the opportunity to choose a Christmas souvenir from the Everything's a Dollar Holiday Tree, have their picture taken with Santa, eat delicious Christmas goodies and have their face painted by master face-painters during intermission. Performances will be at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. on saturday, Dec. 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Pre-sale tickets are $6 and are available through the Peachtree City and Fayetteville libraries. Remaining tickets are available at the door for $7.
