Editor was coward for not endorsing Ostrowski Manny Guerrero, in your recent [letter] you made mention of the word "alarmist." That word goes "back in the day" and in fact, was very popular when my age group was in high school and college. Being from Detroit, the "big three" in particular used to love that slogan, "those uniformed alarmists!" Unfortunately, I now wish we all had been uniformed alarmists when I hear, "Stay indoors; dangerous smog levels" alert on the weather channel, and a government without a clue and a tendency to shift public attention to the economy-wars-education agenda. Sounds like we might have been misguided about those darn alarmists. It is time to stand together on this issue and make sure our government takes a practical, immediate approach in coming up with solutions. We must do better, even if it means doing with less in our pocketbooks. Let's take action now. Write some letters. Get the facts. We owe it to all our children. But now in regards to your letter: I agree [editor] Cal [Beverly] is a coward because he didn't endorse my husband either! Cindy Ostrowski Peachtree City
