Ga. Baptist Children's Home plans car show, festival

The Palmetto Campus of the Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries, Inc. will host a Children's Festival and Car Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3. The event will include arts and crafts booths, children's activities, food, entertainment and classic car show. Groups may sponsor a booth for $25. Cars and trucks may be entered into the show for $20 preregistration if paid by Oct. 31 and $25 the day of the show. FUMC women will have craft fair Nov. 3

Women of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a craft fair Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the church. The fair will feature crafts, a pancake breakfast, baked goods, and a bric-a-brac room. Proceeds will go to local needs organizations such as the Fayette Youth Protection Home and Fayette Samaritans. Christ the King offers ladies' prayer group

Christ the king Charismatic Episcopal Church is currently offering a prayer group for women entitled "How to be a Woman of Prayer." Some 25 women recently signed up for the class which meets both mornings and evenings at the church's parish house on Ga. Hwy. 34 in Coweta County. Fayetteville UMC youth will sell pumpkins

The youth at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will sell pumpkins during October on the church grounds. All funds raised will go toward youth retreats for the year 2001-2002. Pumpkins will be sold each day from 10:a.m. until dark.

Inman UMC offers 'Kidlink' preschool program

Inman United Methodist Church invites children in the community to be a part of "Kidlink," its preschool program offered in a Christian setting. Children will have an opportunity to learn about God and Christ as they discover, interact, and use their imagination in a fun learning atmosphere. Amateur talent show on tap at FUMC Nov. 14

Members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will present their Fall Amateur Talent Show, Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center of the church. Each act is limited to five minutes and must be preregistered. All those performing must provide their own sound system and/or operator. McFolks plan trip to Williamsburg

Senior adults who are members of the McFolks group at McDonough Road Baptist Church are invited to take a sightseeing trip to Williamsburg, Va., Monday, Dec. 3, returning Thursday, Dec. 6. A deposit of $100 is required at sign up. The trip is open to seniors who are members of McDonough Road, as well as seniors who are non-members.
