Armed with information, supports Brown, Rapson

I feel good! For the first time in my life I am going to the polls feeling powerful. Yes, after many years of telling myself that I really should know more than I did before stepping into the voting booth, this year I can claim that I am powerful with knowledge.

I attended a handful of city council meetings over the last several months and I attended the Rotary-sponsored candidate question and answer forum a few weeks ago. I've spent hours on the Internet visiting the candidates' web sites and have read all the letters that the candidates and their supporters have written to this newspaper.

I can't claim any of the candidates to be my friend or neighbor or business associate or mere acquaintance. They don't know me but I feel like I know them.

I am proud to share with the citizens of Peachtree City that I am casting my vote for Steve Brown for mayor, Steve Rapson and Murray Weed for council members.
