McIntosh sweeps cross country county championships

McIntosh showed their dominance at the county cross country championships last week. The boys won their secodn county championship in a row, while Fayette County placed second, Starr's Mill placed third and Sandy Creek placed fourth. The Lady Chiefs, who have never lost the county championships, won again with Starr's Mill placing second.

Teams playing for playoff position, pride

While teams like East Coweta and Starr's Mill are playing to stay in the playoff race, Sandy Creek is playing to hit .500 and McIntosh and Fayette County are playing for pride. The games scheduled for tonight should pose some interesting challenges for all teams involved.

Super season for McIntosh volleyball ends at state tourney

The McIntosh Lady Chiefs volleyball team entered the state tournament last weekend as area champions, undefeated in area play, and state-ranked. In the first round of state competition, a team needed two victories before losing twice to ensure advancing to the Elite Eight round this weekend.
