Gospel according to Mayberry featured at First Methodist annual family retreat Fayetteville First United Methodist Church members and visitors of all ages are invited to attend the 6th annual church-wide retreat at Camp Calvin in Hampton scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6. Focus of the retreat will be a Bible study entitled "The Gospel According to Mayberry," led by the Rev. Betsy Haas. The cost is $22 per adult or $19 for children 5-11 for the full package which includes accommodations for Friday and Saturday and three meals. The cost for Saturday only and two meals is $12 for adults and $10 for children age 5-11. The cost for Friday only is $10 for adults and $9 for children age 5-11 and includes only one meal. Reservations and full payment are due no later than Sunday, Sept. 16. A $10 deposit is required and may be delivered to the church office. Registration at the camp will be at 5:45 Friday afternoon and activities will conclude Saturday at 3:15 p.m. Coordinators for the event are Eleanor Wiley and the Family Ministries Committee.
