Screamers win a title in paradise

The South Metro Screamers 18 and Under "A" traveling fast pitch softball team returned from Panama City, Fla. last week as champions of the USFA "Fastpitch in paradise" tournament. After dropping the first two games in pool play, the Screamers reeled off four consecutive wins to capture the title.

Georgia State gets a boost from Fayette County athletes

Shotgun clinic for women offered

Venture Outdoors and the Georgia Department of Naturaa Resources, Wildlife Resources Division (WRD) invite women to participate in a shotgun clinic, Saturday, June 23 at the Cherokee Rose Sporting Resort in Griffin. Women have a choice of two classes, 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m.
