Ramah Baptist invites community participation in patriotic production Ramah Baptist invites community participation in patriotic production Ramah First Baptist and Palmetto Baptist Church invite individuals and churches to participate in their upcoming celebration of the birthday of America The musical drama program "America A Pilgrim's Prayer, A Patriot's Dream," will be performed at Ramah's worship center Sunday, July 1, at 6 p.m. An old fashioned fellowship will immediately follow the worship service in Ramah's Fellowship Hall. Individuals, groups, choirs, and entire congregations from other churches in the area interested in participating should attend as many of the weekly rehearsals as possible. The choir and drama rehearse Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at Ramah. The orchestra practices Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at Palmetto Baptist's facility. Both churches are located on U.S. Hwy. 29 in downtown Palmetto. The program includes a broad mixture of music from old faithful hymns to the new rhythms of today. Tribute is paid to veterans in each branch of the service as well as volunteers who give of their time in many areas of society. Program producer Randy Vader says, "America is a land built on the prayers and dreams of her pioneers who possessed a deep inspiration and an unfaltering vision. It is important to pause and reaffirm our pledge to remain one nation under God, the one true God, Sovereign of all nations."
