Go to meetings to keep PTC from becoming like Riverdale

I totally agree with Amy Riley ["Tales of traffic and the PTC bubble," May 30]. Frank Hyde [last week] made the comment, "What can we do about the expansion around Huddleston? Nothing."

Well, yes, sir, we can. We can go to the board meetings and appeal. We can vote. We can riot.

I, personally, do not like to hear people complaining about what is going on in Peachtree City when they could have been there, in the community meetings, to begin with. Secondly, I don't want PTC to become a Riverdale. Does anyone else? PCDC, keep going on, you're getting close to bringing us up Ga. Highway 85 into Clayton County.

I never had a problem driving 10 miles to go to Shannon Mall so that I could shop at The Gap, or The Limited, or Limited Express, etc.

My parents, 18 years ago, chose PTC for my sister and myself because it was like one of those "mideast" small bedroom communities. Don't change that. All that live there want a safe place for their kids to cross the street. We have enough places to go in Fayetteville and Newnan (not to mention Southlake and Shannon Mall).

Let's keep it cozy and safe for our children, grandchildren, and so on.
