Local recording artist John Waller to perform at River's Edge this Sunday

Local recording artist John Waller and his band, "According to John," have recorded the words of an Old Testament prayer which form the core of a book currently on the top ten best sellers list of the New York Times.Waller recently recorded the "Song of Jabez" which has been popularized nationally by Bruce Wilkinson's book, "The Prayer of Jabez."

Waller will sing the selection as part of a mini-concert Sunday morning, May 6, at 10 a.m., at River's Edge Community Church in Fayetteville.

"John Waller is one of the best Christian artists in the land of Christian music and just providentially God assigned him to write and sing the hottest 'prayer' in the nation," Pastor John Hatcher said, inviting the community to hear Waller.

The prayer of Jabez can be found in 1 Chronicles 4:10, "Oh that You (God) would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me." The Biblical writer concludes at the close of Jabez' prayer, "And God granted him what he requested."

River's Edge Church is at 1091 South Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville.
