Tyrone First Christian Church will offer reenactment of Last Supper Thursday

Members of the First Christian Church of Tyrone will present a reenactment of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. The program will include portrayal of many of the events which led to the institution of the Lord's Supper, including interchanges between Jesus and the disciples as they met in the Upper Room to observe the Passover. Dressed in biblical attire, the "disciples" will serve the Lord's supper to all those who wish to partake.

On Good Friday, April 13, the church will host a Good Friday service beginning at noon and continuing until 1 p.m. Those who wish to attend may come and go at their leisure. Appropriate scripture will be read at each quarter hour.

On Easter Sunday, the church will offer a worship service at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., with coffee and doughnuts served between services. Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m. Both services will feature special music by the Chancel Choir. The theme of the service will be "A Day for the Slow of Heart."

First Christian of Tyrone is at 294 Jenkins Rd. For more information, call 770-969-7346 or visit the church's Web site at www.1st-christian.org.
