teams head into spring break
Starr's Mill boys
defeated Stockbridge on Monday, 7-2, improving their overall record
to 8-3 and their sub-region record to 5-0. The panthers led 3-0 at the
half and got goals from Tim Fevella, Josh Vanderbush, Tim Murphy, Brandon
Henry Erik Simonsen, Mike Hubbard and Brandon Adams. The Panthers were
scheduled to travel to Walton on Thursday but the game may have been
cancelled due to inclement weather. Starr's Mill will be off until April
11 when they host Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m.
Lazers
are nationally ranked
The
PTC U-14 Lazers girls soccer team (Georgia state champions) is now nationally
ranked. After hosting a tournament of outstanding girls U-14 teams from
around the country, the Lazers' performance gained them national recognition
in two separate nationally recognized soccer ranking polls.
