Sandy Creek's boys basketball team went 1-2 in the region tournament and qualified for the AAAA state tournament. They defeated Woodward Academy, 57-46, but lost to Westlake, 74-60 and to Creekside, 60-49. All three games were closer than the score indicates, but fatigue may have played a factor in the two losses.

Sandy Creek has shown balanced scoring this season. L.T. Lockett is averaging 24.0 points per game and is ranked third in scoring in metro area basketball. The team has also received great play from William Belton and Corey Adams throughout the season, as well as Aaron Honeycutt and Richard Lott.
