Auditions announced for PTC UMC production The Peachtree City United Methodist Church will conduct auditions for soprano and baritone solos for its production of Theodore Dubois' "The Seven Last Words of Christ," which will be performed by the Chancel Choir and orchestra Sunday, March 25 at the morning worship service. Christ Our Hope schedules Ash Wednesday services To usher in the season of Lent, two Ash Wednesday communion services are planned for Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church on Ga. Hwy. 138. A spoken service will be conducted at noon and another at 7 p.m. Successive Wednesday communion services during Lent are scheduled for March 7 through April 4 at 7 p.m. For further information, call the church at 770-997-7117 or 770-997-3312.
Providence plans children's Ash Wednesday service Providence United Methodist Church will have a special children's Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m., immediately following the family night dinner. Moms with young children invited to support group The First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City offers an ongoing support group for women with young children. Meetings are the first and third Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in room E at the church. Activities include Bible study, speakers, adult conversation and fellowship. Those who need child care are asked to call the church office at 770-487-7757 by Monday morning prior to the meeting day. All women in the community are invited.
Puppet Ministry volunteers needed The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is seeking creative individuals to brainstorm and begin a puppet show team to perform quarterly at various children's programs in their church.
