Calling all tooters, tweeters and bangers: Somebody is looking for you

In the mystical land just south of a great metropolitan area there resides a species of humans little known to the rest of the world, the "Tooters, Tweeters and Bangers (TTBs)."

These wonderfully gifted people, however, are reluctant to make themselves known. Try as we may, for over 10 years our dedicated group of "TTB" searchers have not been able to convince them to come out of hiding. In the hope of reaching these "TTBs" we submit the following descriptions and if your readers recognize anyone who fits those descriptions, we urge them to call us at once.

Tooters: Players of trumpets, French horns, trombones, tubas and baritones. Tweeters: Flutes, piccolos, clarinets, oboes, bass clarinets, bassoons, saxes, etc. Bangers: Percussionists of all types.

Yes, we are the Peachtree Wind Ensemble Community Band and we are in our 10th year of performance. We have openings in all sections of our band. While we know there are hundreds of former and current musicians in the area, we seem to have difficulty in reaching people who have a dedication to making music and coming to rehearsal on a continuous basis one night a week for an hour and a half. We rehearse on Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m., at the old Fayette County High School in Fayetteville.

Interested "TTBs" may call Director Bob Lancette at 770-487-6687 anytime. We have upgraded the caliber of music we perform and want to expand the band to 60 musicians.

Let all "TTBs" be aware: We will continue to search you out and offer you challenge and fun, almost anything to get you to join our dedicated group of "Tooters, Tweeters and Bangers"!
