Speedway rained out

Mother Nature stuck it to Senoia Speedway last Saturday night for the third time of the season as rains moved in to cancel the first ever Super Bowl of Asphalt Champions presented by the speedway.

More than 117 cars showed up to compete in the two-day event with all the cars qualifying Friday for their features to be run on the following Saturday night. Rains set in at about 4:30 p.m. after the pit gates had opened. Several attempts were made to dry the track using cars from Mini Stock, Street Stock, Sportsman and the Legends divisions.

The rains came back with the notice of rescheduling this Saturday at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 11, the Super Bowl of Racing times are as follows: gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday with practice and main gates opening at 5 p.m. Races will begin at 7 p.m.
