McFolks' at MRBC plan trip to Biltmore Estates

Senior adults in the community are invited to join the 'McFolks' group at McDonough Road Baptist Church for a trip to Biltmore Estates planned for Nov. 27 and 28. Those wishing to attend are asked to sign up at the church. For more information, call McDonough Road Baptist Church at 770-460-5423.

Christ Our Hope Lutheran plans Thanksgiving service

Members of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will have a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring gifts of nonperishable foods to place on the altar. The gifts will be given to the Atlanta Food Bank to help stock the food pantry.

Bethany offers children's fellowship each Wednesday

Bethany United Methodist Church offers a fellowship for children each Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Children's choir practice is from 6:15-6:45 p.m., followed by a snack supper until 7:30 p.m. The remainder of time is spent playing and having fun. Seniors invited to join 'McFolks' at MRBC

The group participates in out-of-town trips, local get-togethers, and has its own choir at the church. The Senior Singing Adult Choir meets on Wednesday mornings. Providence youth will sell Christmas trees

The youth groups at Providence United Methodist Church will take orders for Fraser Fir Christmas trees by phone or by mail through Nov. 26. Prices are: 6-7 ft., $45; 8 ft., $55; 9 ft., $60; 10 ft., $80. Trees will be available for pickup or delivery on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 2. Fayetteville Christian plans fall family retreat

Members of Fayetteville Christian Church are planning a fall family retreat at Woodland Christian Camp in Temple, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18. The cost is $10 per individual or $25 per family and includes lodging and three meals. Caravans will leave the church parking lot at 1 p.m. and at 4 p.m. on Friday, for those who wish to travel as a group. Faith and suffering examined in Morehouse play

Two performances of the play, "M.J. The Modern Job," will be presented in the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College Saturday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. The play examines the question of faith and suffering.
