We have some great libraries here Of all the grand American institutions I made firsthand experience with since my relocation from Europe 12 years ago, the country's public libraries are my favorites. I think it is high time to publicly praise the ones I have most often visited over the years: the Tyrone and Peachtree City Public libraries. Whether I asked Julie Digby to trace and order for me one of the more obscure pieces of literature or Richard Matthews, Gil Kuhns or Mary Haas to help with the unlimited intricacies of the digital world (or recover diskettes I left in all sorts of drives in my haste), I always was met with the greatest courtesy and an amazing patience. Last week I desperately looked for, but could not find, information on the geographic boundaries of the Georgia representative and senatorial districts. After an exemplary collective effort by Gil, Richard, and Co., who quickly browsed the corners of the Internet, I was handed over printouts of exactly what I had been looking for. My warmest thank you to all library staff for the tremendous support I had been afforded over the years! Sybyl Stanek and M.T. Allen, be proud of your associates! This is America at its best! Günther Rückl, M.D., Ph.D. Tyrone
