Fayette Christian prepares ofr Homecoming

The Fayette Christian Falcons, competing in the Georgia Christian Athletic Association, play eight-man tackle football and are currently 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the region.

After four games, senior Travis Self leads the team in rushing and scoring. He has 326 yards on 22 carries, averages 14.8 yards a carry and has scored 36 points. He has also recorded nine tackles as a defensive back.

Tim Howell, also a senior, has 199 yards on 42 carries and has scored 16 points. Howell plays linebacker as well as on the defensive line. He leads the team with 24 tackles, eight assists and one fumble recovery.

Senior Brett Bentley and junior Kyle Self each have 18 tackles. Self leads the team with four sacks.

Senior Allen Groth leads the team in receptions with seven for 114 yards. He also has 15 tackles, seven assists and one interception.

The Falcons play their home games at McCurry Park in Fayetteville and will host PACE Christian at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, for homecoming.
