All four Fayette County high schools have fielded either a regional champion cheerleading squad or a runner-up, and all four schools are going to the state championship in Columbus on Saturday.

McIntosh and Sandy Creek both won their respective regional championships over the weekend, with Fayette County and Starr's Mill placing second. This will be the first year that all four schools will be going to the state championship. It is also the first year that Sandy Creek fielded a competition squad.

The meet will be held at the Columbus Civic Center. The AAA and AAAA portion of the meet will begin at 3 p.m.
