At first I was upset that she would ever call her father, a murderer in fact, a hero. But this WAS her dad. Who knows what he's put into her head over the years. I guess grief, anger, and loss can cause people to say some pretty strange things. I wish her healing. And I hope that the focus turns to the military veteran that was murdered and the victims that were injured.

On the serious side. The name of the man, killed in Austin last Thursday, was Vernon Hunter, 68 years old, a Vietnam War veteran with a long military career, worked for the IRS for twenty seven years.
