Hillary, Mitt and Sarah 24/7 to 2012Well it has started. The CNN poll that shows Obama below 50% chance of getting reelected. Big fall in just 13 months. But others notice as well. The Republican comeback this November will be interesting and may just save the country from our new worst President, but all that leads to thoughts of 2012. Hillary will distance herself from Obama and eventually quit. Most sensible Democrats like Bayh know they are damaged goods and won't run, but the Clinton "ambition" will take over and she will run against Obama - sort of like Teddy tried to do against Carter in the second term. And Reagan did the same thing against Ford. The incumbent prevailed back then, but Obama's real vulnerable if he keeps up the socialist crap and Hillary might just win the Dem's nomination. And I'd prefer her over Obama, but I won't be at their convention or voting in their primaries. Palin will continue to be the distraction she is by riling up the pro-baby killing crowd who can't get over the fact that even she is more qualified to be President that the current office-holder. In fact they are pretty much the same - good speakers, limited intellect, strident partisans. In the end she won't run for anything, but she will be visible and valuable as a fund raiser and media magnet. That leaves Romney and Huckabee as the experienced front-runners for the Republican nominee and a whole bunch of new and moderately experienced Senators and Governors who could either replace them or be their VP. Wild card is Lieberman. Robert W. Morgan's blog | login to post comments |
