Longtime South Metro Atlanta Realtor, Leslie Edwards has announced that she and her team are going green. You may have seen the little red SMART car around town with Leslie’s logo, “leslie edwards sells real estate 770.460.9448”, RE/MAX logos, and “SMART Realtor, SMART Car” on front back and sides.

In addition to the unique look, the SMART car gets between 31 an 44 miles to the gallon, averaging twice the gas mileage of Edwards’ luxury car. “Besides the gas savings, I have met so many new people who stop me everywhere I go to ask about the car. It is a convertible and is fun to drive around town and on the expressways”

SMART cars, sold all over Europe for years, only recently became available in the U.S. and are distributed by Mercedes Benz.

In addition, Leslie uses recyclable glass instead of plastic whenever possible, takes her own reusable canvas bags to the grocery store an gathers water in a large container in the shower to water the plants.

According to Edwards, “We can’t do it all, but if everyone made a few small changes, it would make a big difference.”
