they would fix it. Students can't communicate with colleges electronically, and many students pages have just been deleted for no reason. It's gotten beyond ridiculous.

On 9/15/2009, an article in The Citizen summarized the budget woes of FCBOE. Also included was an invitation for community members to join one of five newly forming budget committees to "review other areas that might be tapped to save on expenditures" and an email address was provided for those interested in serving.

Several teachers, myself included, immediately volunteered to serve on one or more of these committees. Sadly, the responses received were to the effect of "we've received your email...and your request is being reviewed for consideration." Other teachers have reported that their requests were simply not acknowledged.

Approximately 4 weeks later, I sent a follow up email requesting the names of the committee members so that I could forward a list of cost saving measures to be considered. No response from the FCBOE was ever received.

I've attended a few meetings since then, listened to podcasts, and checked the meeting agendas on line and still have not seen any information on these Budget Committees. So, my question is, does anyone know if these Committees were ever established? If so, who are the members? How often do they meet? What ideas are they considering? Are there any teachers on the committee(s)?
