Power plant should be moved to more appropriate location

I am very concerned with the preservation of our environment and the reasons, bucolic scenery, aesthetic appeal, etc., which we were drawn to Fayette County. Please do what you can to move this project to a more appropriate area.

The Peters Road project will directly affect us in Fayette County. The pollutants will blow over us, but be mitigated in Henry County. The stuff released does not dissipate until it is at least 60 miles away, according to Greg Dunn.

The plant will take 8 million gallons a day from Morning Creek, which flows through Fayette County, use 7 mgd to create the steam (and you have no idea what chemicals, additives, etc., will be in that water), and the 1 mgd that is left over (with who knows what in it) will be put back into Morning Creek! How generous.

The power created from this plant is not really for here. It will likely end up in another state. And we would be happy about this because ... ?

Learn what is going on here. Write letters. Be informed.
