David Elton Jones Sr., 79, Temple, died Aug. 30, 2006. He was a veteran of World War II. Graveside services were at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons David and Bobbie Jones Jr., McDonough, Howard and Faye Jones, Temple, John Jones, Morrow, and Donald and Amy Jones, Fayetteville; daughters, Sissy and Jerry Henderson, Forest Park, and Valerie and Nelson Pendley, Parrish, Ala.; former daughter-in-law, Tammy Ellis Jones; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Gene Jones, Morrow; and sisters, Evelyn Dixon, Buford, Lottie Stringer, Lawrenceville, and Margaret Jones, Rex. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
