Eddie Lloyd, a fifth grader at Braelinn Elementary, recently won the first place trophy for the MathFax competition in Division IV, which includes the states of Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama. He placed sixth in the national rankings. MathFax has four contests for each math level. Each of the four tests consists of 25 questions. The primary purpose of the tests is to give teachers an educational tool that will motivate their students to excel. Lloyd is the son of John and Kay Lloyd of Peachtree City. He is a boy scout in Pack 409 and enjoys golf and tennis.
