Competitive season just starting for cross country teams

Starr’s Mill ran at the Walton Stage Races at Gainesville College last weekend and both the boys and girls placed ninth. There were 21 teams in the girls varsity division and 27 in the varsity boys division.

Austin Enriquez placed second against the other number one runners, finishing with a time of 10:00. Starr’s Mill’s next meet will be the Carrollton Invitational on Sept. 9.

At last weekend’s Early Bird Invitational, Our Lady of Mercy faced off against Landmark Christian School. The boys finished ahead of the War Eagles, while the Landmark girls team finished ahead of the Lady Bobcats.
