Joyce Betts Barfield, 70, died Aug. 20, 2006. She was born March 15, 1936 in Fulton County. She was retired with 20 years of service with Coca Cola USA. She enjoyed collecting elephants and was very artistic. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie and Larry Walker, Fayetteville; grandsons, Chris Walker, Stockbridge, and Greg Walker and fiancée, Lisa Johnson, Fayetteville; a great-grandson, Austin Walker, Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Janice Bryan, Columbus; and two nephews. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
