The Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City and the Methodist Men’s Fellowship of Peachtree City United Methodist Church will combine forces for the third annual Community Chicken-Que, Saturday, Sept. 16, during Shakerag Arts and Crafts Festival weekend. The event will be held at the church’s Windgate campus on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Windgate Road.

Last year more than 1,500 customers were served. The menu includes half a chicken, baked beans and cole slaw. Drinks also will be available.
Take-out picnic boxes will be available between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

All tickets are $6.75 and are available now from any Methodist Men’s Fellowship or Kiwanis member.

The Methodist men will donate all their proceeds to the Scout Lodge currently under construction on the PTCUMC Robinson Road campus. The lodge will be used by all area Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Kiwanis will donate its profits to the Scout Lodge, plus other meaningful community service projects.
