Main Street prepares to tees off at annual tournamentTue, 08/29/2006 - 4:00pm

Plans are in full swing for the 13th annual Main Street Golf Tournament slated for Wednesday, September 20 at White Water Creek Golf Club in Fayetteville. After the tournament will be a dinner, awards ceremony and silent auction. Proceeds from the golf tournament go toward funding the historical redevelopment of the Fayetteville’s downtown Main Street District. Cost of the tournament is $100 per individual which includes green fees, lunch, dinner, and golf cart and range balls. A golf hole sponsorship is $150 and $550 will cover a foursome along with a hole sponsor package. The tournament begins at 11 a.m. with registration and an opportunity to use the practice range. Lunch, sponsored by Integrated Science & Engineering, will be served at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. Raffles and other prizes will be given for the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and the Hole-In-One car, sponsored by Allan Vigil Ford as well as first, second and third place teams. The registration deadline for the tournament is September 8. A catered barbeque dinner sponsored by Georgia Power will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the club and will include a silent auction featuring vacation packages, jewelry, restaurant gift certificates and more. Individuals are welcome and should call Main Street at 770-719-4173 by Sept. 8 to register a team, sponsor a hole and/or donate a silent auction item. login to post comments |
