PublishAmerica has recently published “Poems from an Average Joe” by local author Joe Parke. “Poems from an Average Joe” was designed to be simple rhymes of easily understandable themes over a wide range of topics. Some are based on actual events in the author's life or the lives of family and friends. Others are conceptual in design to the author's imagination. Fond of nature and the beach, the author adeptly gives much to consider on his free ride to relaxation through his nature visualization. A strong spiritual sentiment can be noted in the center section, followed by many thoughts to consider regarding love poems, or a fire hydrant, being a talk show host, or being about to end time on death row. Joe Parke graduated from Dixon High School in Dixon, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy, married his wife Diana, has a son Brad, graduated college, and lived 20 years in California. Parke and his wife now reside in Newnan, Ga. PublishAmerica is the home of 20,000 talented authors. It is a traditional publishing company with the primary goal to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers. Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties, makes its books available in both the United States and Europe through all bookstores, and never charges any fees for its services. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.
