Palmetto City Administrator Bill Shell accepts petitions Thursday afternoon from Chatt Hills resident Waynette Peek, who chaired the fast paced, two week effort to get 60 percent of area register voters and 60 percent of land owners to formally request annexation into the city. Next up, the petitions will be validated and the mayor and city council will consider the request.
