W. Boyd Oliver, 93, McDonough, died Aug. 18, 2006. He was born June 30, 1913 in Macon County, N. C. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with the Rev. Jeff Watkins and Pastor Bob McCurry officiating. Interment was at College Park. Survivors include a son, William “Sonny” and Jean Oliver, Senoia; daughters, Ellen and John Caldwell, Jenkinsburg, Helen Oliver, McDonough, and Mary Jean and Wally Bearden, Jasper; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point, was in charge.
