Frances R. Longley

Frances R. Longley, 82, Atlanta, died Aug. 12, 2006. She was born in Fayette County, daughter of the late John and Maude Lloyd Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Longley Sr., and a sister, Geri Townsend. She was a long time member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She had been a medical lab technician at West Paces Ferry Hospital prior to retirement. Services were at Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Dr. Dan Rice officiating. Survivors include a son, Charles and Susan Longley, Atlanta, daughters, Robin and Charles Nelson, Jonesboro, and Natalie Longley, Cumming; a special friend, Linda McCord, Cumming; grandchildren, Brandon Longley, Ian Longley, and Joy Longley, all of Atlanta, and Lindsey Nelson and Katie Nelson, both of Jonesboro; and nieces, Kay Hamner and Tracy Vaughn. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Heart Association. A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, was in charge.
